Preparing For The Exit Exam

The exit exam is right around the corner and preparing for it is very essential. To prepare for the exit exam I have to first make sure I understand the whole structure of an essay. I think the better I understand it the more confident I'm going to be taking the exit exam. Another thing I might have to work on is being consisted with my story telling and not getting off topic. But overall I feel good about taking the exit exam. No Worries No worries I would talk about it in essay but man that dish would be a long story! YEAHHH

Should Violent Video Games Be Banned?

In this blog I will be speaking on the tittle above. I played video games my entire life and although I would get hype while playing the game I would never try and go hijack a car or punch a random person in the face like on the few games I played as a kid. The first game I played as a kid was GTA 3 for the PlayStation 2 console. I thought it was so cool how you had the liberty to do anything you wanted like still cars, shoot guns, and commit crimes that you would do serious time for in the real world if you got caught. But I always understood that it was just a game it wasn't reality. I knew there was no way in a hundred years that I could punch a cop in the face and still his cop car with out getting caught. I know that everybody thinks different and not everybody can distinguish fantasy from reality. In the end I feel that as long as parents take control of what their children are playing or watching on TV, and the game products have a game rating or a parental discretion advised logo on Cd's kids can be monitored to play, watch, or listen to the games, TV, and music responsibly. So nah man to banned video games is a bogus Idea if you ask me.

My Writing Process

My Writing Process

writing an essay is a process to some people. The way I get started is by choosing a great comfortable place to sit at. Having a comfortable sit is important specially if you're writing a 3 page essay; if you're sitting down for to long and your sit has no support you wont be focus and you'll be getting up too much to stretching. The next thing I like doing is putting on my headphones and playing some classical music. I open a new tab, go to YouTube, and search for Beethoven or Mozart. This are some of the things I do to make sure I'm focused and ready to write my essay.

It is important to take breaks during paragraph or when you find yourself stuck and not sure about what else to write about. What I usually like doing is going to the kitchen and getting some brain food. My favorite snacks are cookies, brownies, and anything with chocolate. I try not to get chocolate wasted when I'm writing a paper, but afterwords its on and poppin'! Drinking a lot of liquids is a bad idea when writing a paper. Drinking to much liquids could result in you having to visit the restroom to much. Taking this breaks could be good for your health and for your concentration.

Writing  essays could be long and stressful, but it doesn't have to. You can make sure of that by finding ways to be as comfortable as possible. This was my writing process and I try to improve it every time. Well that was all for this blog I will be back with more next time, peace.

Why did I decide to come to Mountain View College

Hey everyone is me again! Last time we talked I was speaking on the topic "Why I was in College". This time the topic is pretty similar, I actually wish I didn't give you guys to much info on the last topic I could have used some of it on this blog! But anyhow moving on to the topic for this story I'm about to tell entitled "Why did I decide to come to Mountain View College".

There really isn't a specific reason on why I'm attending MVC (Acronym for Mountain View College) I had family and friends that went to MVC and they always told me how great it is so it got my attention. When I was younger like 16 years of age my pops gave me driving lessons in the campus parking lot. I remember the first time he let me take it out in to the street and drive it all the way home WITH his supervision don't get scared you people! Anyways I was nerves as hell but he encourage me to go for it. I also remember getting pulled over at the parking lot by "MVCBD" is what I like to call them; for being there past curfew! But that's a different story that I wont be getting into too much detail, the point is that the only experience I had with  MVC were driving lessons and my encounter with the fuzz  other then that I never really thought about coming here.

I was not planning to start college anytime soon after graduating from high school but I was planning of going eventually. With many colleges out there I really wasn't sure which one was the one for me. I had my eyes on El Centro although I never looked in to it. I guess we can say I was destined to come to MVC, I'm actually glad I did . This place is nice and a cool place to hangout. I'm not disappointed on my decision of coming to Mountain View College and I'm glad I started when I did!

So although I might not have a specific reason for coming to MVC I do have a lot of expectations like getting my associates degree, (don't ask me in what cause I'm not really sure yet) and hope to transfer to a 4 year University one day. All that is going to take a lot of preparation and I know MVC is the perfect place to help me reach those goals.

Well that's really all I have for you guys this time, I hope I didn't talk y'all heads off or board y'all to death! Hope to be able to do this again soon (with a different subject of course) and be able to share with y'all more of my story's, thoughts, and ideas! Thanks for reading; this was your friend DG with the retro kicks, Until next time!

Why I am in Colllege

Hi my name is Daniel Garduno my friends call me DG I started college spring of 2013 and so far I really enjoy it. My Instructor Mr. Bunning has us creating our own blog with a list of subjects to write about. Our first subject to write about is "why we are in college" so that's what my first blog is going to be about. Bare with me as this is my first blog ever! Excuse me for any misspelled words or punctuation.

I graduated from high school last year not planning to start school any time soon. One day I got a call from PCI Health Training Center that came to my school for a open house they were having one day. PCI asked me If I would like to go take a tour of their campus and I agreed to it. When I got to PCI they took me in and talk a little about what their school is all about and then gave me a tour of the schools campus. It looked like a nice place to go to school at but then when they showed me the price of their tuition it didn't look so nice anymore!

After my experience at PCI I decided not to go to their school after all but decided to continue my education. I chose to go to a Community College to further my education. I feel like it was the best choose I ever made next to going back to school to get my high school diploma after dropping out of 9th grade.School was never easy for me not cause I had a problem with learning, I just always had a problem with paying attention in class and participating in school projects was never my thing. Going back to school to do what I had to do really showed me a different side of myself dedicated to complete something I never thought do again.

At first starting college was a little nerverecking. first day of school went smooth second day did too I hope the semester goes good as well. college is way different, its nothing like high school all the deadlines I have to meet by the end of this school semester took me by surprise! The instructors are pretty cool though and flexible I like how they're willing to work with you if they see you're trying to complete the work. I'm pretty confident I'm going to do okay I'll just have to defeat my biggest opponent ((Procrastination))!

Over all I'm glad to have a fresh start at something new a clean slate to do things differently the opposite of what I did before. writing this blog is doing something out of my comfort zone but it's something I got to do to complete my vow to doing things differently. College is going to be a challenge for me but I'm ready to do what it takes to take the bull by the horns and finish what I already started! Well this is my first blog I feel I did pretty well, I hope to be able to express myself the way I did in this blog and share things with the reader I usually wouldn't share in the near future. This is Daniel G. aka DG signing out till next time I blog again, good bye readers.
